PERSONAL SUPPORT WORKER

Our Personal Support Workers (PSWs) are dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to our clients, and are trained to provide a range of services, including:

Personal Care

Our PSWs assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as:

  • Bathing and showering

  • Dressing and grooming 

  • Toileting and incontinence care 

  • Feeding and meal preparation

  • Escort services to appointments

We also provide personal hygiene care, including:

  • Oral care 

  • Nail care 

  • Hair care

Medication Management

Our PSWs assist with medication reminders and administration, they also monitor medication side effects, reporting any changes to healthcare professionals who are available 24/7.

Mobility and Transfers

Our PSWs assist with mobility and transfers, including 1. Ambulation and Range of motion exercises, 2.Transferring from bed to chair or wheelchair or vice versa, 3. Using mobility aids such as walkers or canes

Household and Meal Preparation

Our PSWs perform light housekeeping duties, including 1. Laundry and linen change, 2. Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, 3.Meal preparation and cooking. They also assist with grocery shopping and meal planning.

Communication and Documentation

Our PSWs communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals, and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client care and progress.

Safety and Emergency Procedures

Our PSWs identify and report any safety hazards or concerns, and assist with emergency procedures, such as 1. Fire evacuation, 2.First aid and CPR, 3.Fall prevention and response

Other Responsibilities

Our PSWs provide emotional support and companionship to clients, assist with recreational activities and socialization, and perform other duties as required, such as: Assisting with pet care and Accompanying clients to appointments
